"This project embodies the spirit of our community, providing an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and experience the magic of winter sports," said Cory Grant, president of the Lebanon Outing Club, in a statement. "We hope this initiative brings neighbors together and inspires a love of skiing in a fun and accessible way."

The ski area opened in 1923 and is run by the Lebanon Outing Club. The club is a nonprofit that runs and supports Storrs Hill, providing affordable, family-friendly winter activities. The ski area has 20 skiable acres, a vertical drop of 300 feet, seven trails, one lift, two ski jumps, a terrain park, instructional programs, a lodge, and night skiing.

In previous seasons, Storrs Hill Ski Area offered day passes that were $10 for juniors (ages three to five) and $15 for adults (16 and up). The season passes were $100 for juniors, $170 for adults, and $300 for families of up to four people. There are no ski rentals at Storrs, according to their website.

In New England, ski day passes typically range from $60-$100 for smaller resorts during weekdays and $100-$150 for larger resorts like Killington or Stowe. On weekends, prices increase to $80-$120 for smaller resorts and $120-$180 for major ones. During peak holiday periods, prices can climb to $100-$250, depending on the resort. For season passes, prices vary widely from smaller resorts, which often charge between $400-$700, to larger resorts like Killington or Sugarloaf, which may cost $600-$1,300.

Visitors can enjoy free access to lifts and ski trails in a family-friendly atmosphere, with opportunities to learn about Storrs Hill programs and events. Beginners are welcome, with volunteers available to offer training and support.
