BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) -- Brevard County deputies arrested a driver during a traffic stop after allegedly finding fentanyl and meth under his cap.
The driver, later identified as Anthony Commander, was sitting at a stop sign on Sunday night without his seatbelt, which caught a nearby deputy's eye, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).
While issuing a written warning to give Commander, a K9 unit arrived on the scene to sniff the vehicle. Moments after deploying, the dog alerted deputies to drugs in the vehicle.

Deputies say a search of the vehicle yielded two cut straws with residue which field tested positive for Fentanyl.
While searching Commander's person for weapons and drugs, deputies say they removed his hat and found two baggies tucked inside the lining containing more drugs.
BCSO reported that one bag contained 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and a second contained 0.28 grams of Fentanyl.
Commander admitted the hat was his, but claimed he had no idea how the drugs got in there, the report stated. He went on to suggest that one of his friends may have 'planted' it there.
Deputies transported Commander to jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia where he was held on a $5,500 bond.
