SOMERVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- A man has been arrested after deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress call Saturday evening.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a burglary in progress call on Section Mountain Road.

Deputies said they found 24-year-old Winston Santana Dean Whitworth, of Somerville, who attempted to barricade himself in the home.

MCSO said Whitworth was tased, checked by medical and taken to the Morgan County Jail on three outstanding warrants.

The Morgan County Jail lists his charges as third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
