The Capital City Cavaliers finished second Saturday in their home duals tournament.
The Cavaliers advanced to the title round by winning three of their first four duals. Capital City defeated West Plains (72-12), Moberly (56-18) and Winnetonka (38-36) before losing to eventual champion Jefferson City (39-28).
Capital City defeated Raymore-Peculiar 46-27 in the championship round, winning nine of the 14 matches.
Three Cavaliers -- Caleb Nicholson at 132 pounds, Matthew Wiegand at 190 and Reyce Turner at 285 -- finished 5-0 in the Duals.
Nicholson won three times by fall and twice by forfeit. Wiegand won three times by fall, once by decision and once by forfeit. Turner won four times by fall and once by forfeit.
Ethan Wydra at 126, Parker Jones at 138 and DeMarkus Lyddon-Allen at 157 were all 4-1.
Wydra had two wins by fall, one by technical fall and one by forfeit. Jones won once by fall, one by major decision, one by decision and one by forfeit. Allen posted two wins by fall, one by technical fall and one by forfeit.
The Cavaliers were a combined 4-1 at 113. Landon Holleman was 3-1, while Guage Myer was 1-0.
Darius Hendricks finished 3-2 at 215 for the Cavaliers.
Aden Jackson at 165 and O'Mar Thomas at 175 both finished 2-3. Both of Thomas' wins were by fall.
Brady Hale was 2-2 at 120, while Holleman was 0-1. At 144, Jeremiah Austin was 2-2, while Zayne Green was 0-1. Three Cavaliers combined to go 2-3 at 150. Karter Anderson was 2-1, Caleb Sapp was 0-1 and Austin was 0-1.
The Cavaliers were open at 106.
Capital City will host Sedalia Smith-Cotton in a dual Tuesday night.
