Troutman Pepper Locke Represents Regional Health Properties in Agreement to Merge With SunLink

Troutman Pepper Locke client Regional Health Properties, Inc. (Regional) (NYSE American: RHE), a self-managed health care real estate investment company, recently announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to merge with SunLink Health Systems, Inc. (SunLink) (NYSE American: SSY), the parent company of Carmichael's Cashway Pharmacy. Regional invests primarily in real estate purposed for senior living and long-term care. SunLink will merge with and into Regional in exchange for a mix of Regional common and preferred stock. The merger is expected to close in the spring of 2025. The combined company will be based in Atlanta.
