Illinois man arrested in connection to residential burglary investigation in Kentucky

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities said an Illinois man was tracked down in Tennessee after he was suspected of a burglary at a home in Kentucky.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said on December 18, at around 12:30 p.m., a homeowner reported he found a man in his home and ran away after he confronted him.

This was along State Route 97, about four miles south of Mayfield.

After the suspect ran away, he got in his vehicle and drove away, but not before the homeowner got a photo of the vehicle, the sheriff's office detailed.

Deputies responded to the home and started investigating. They then sent out help from other agencies to help find the suspect in the residential burglary.

On December 19, at around 4 p.m., the sheriff's office then said law enforcement in Union City, Tennessee, found the vehicle at the Walmart there. After approaching the driver as he came out of the store, the man then reported to have ran back in and led police on a short foot chase.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said the man was detained and a large amount of cash and fentanyl was found on him.

The man was later identified as Charles Livvix, 40 of Toledo, Illinois.

The sheriff's office said they are getting an arrest warrant to charge Livvix with Burglary 2nd Degree.
