NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Whether you're cooking for two or twenty, with all the holiday chaos you might suddenly realize you are missing an ingredient. That was the case for some shoppers as they rushed to make it in before the stores closed.
"We're doing a ham. I actually just now bought the ham. I told my family I'd buy it, and I forgot until just now, so I had to run out and get it," shopper Elijah Matteson said.
He's lucky he remembered today as most major grocery stores are closed tomorrow.
" I didn't think Publix would have it, but you know, they had two left. So, I snagged one of the last ones here," Matteson said.
Publix, Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Costco are all closing early on Christmas Eve. They will stay closed all day on Christmas.
So if you need something, your best bet is going to be either Walgreens, CVS, or 7-Eleven.
Many local Nashville restaurants are still open for dining.
