A Swedish artist's model house could soon find a permanent home on the moon
STOCKHOLM (AP) -- A Swedish artist is about to have the dream of a lifetime fulfilled: a little red model house he created will be launched into space this week and if all goes according to plan put on the surface of the moon. The Moonhouse, the size of a big hand, will hitch a ride to the moon on a lunar lander operated by the Japanese company ispace from Cape Canaveral on Wednesday. Artist Mikael Genberg says it was "a crazy, maybe idiotic, but at the same time, in my mind, really poetic thought to put a red house with white corners on the surface of the moon."

ATLANTA (AP) -- A representative for reality TV star Chase Chrisley has denied an allegation that his client assaulted the manager of a popular Atlanta sports bar last week after refusing to leave. Adam Ambrose, a representative for Chrisley, says in a statement Monday that the encounter has been "blown out of proportion." A police report says Chrisley was allegedly drunk at a Twin Peaks restaurant on Jan. 6 and refused to leave when asked by the manager. He is accused of slapping the manager twice in the face. Ambrose says Chrisley didn't assault anyone and was trying to close out his tab and leave.
Heidi Montag tops iTunes chart after losing house in Los Angeles wildfires
Reality television star Heidi Montag's 2010 album "Superficial" has hit No. 1 on the iTunes' all-genre songs and albums charts 15 years after its release and just after Montag and husband Spencer Pratt lost their home in the Palisades Fire. Pratt posted a series of photos of their devastated house on TikTok on Friday, asking his followers to stream Montag's music to support them. It worked. "Superficial" beat Bad Bunny's new album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" for the top spot on the albums chart. The title track also bested Blackpink's ROSÉ and Bruno Mars' chant-along single "APT." on the songs' chart.
Mad Men's Jon Hamm is named Hasty Pudding's Man of the Year
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -- Award winning actor Jon Hamm, best known for his roles on "Mad Men" and, more recently, on "Fargo" and "Landman," has been named 2025 Man of the Year by Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals. The theater group announced Tuesday that Hamm will receive his Pudding Pot award at a celebratory roast Jan. 31. Afterwards, Hamm will attend a performance of Hasty Pudding Theatricals' 176th production, "101 Damnations." Hasty Pudding Theatricals, which dates to 1844 and calls itself the third-oldest theater group in existence, gives out the awards to people who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment.
Rock icon Jeff Beck's guitars are going on display in London before they are put up for auction
LONDON (AP) -- Some of the most iconic guitars in rock history are going on display in London before they go under the hammer at auction. Auctioneer Christie's held a preview on Tuesday for the collection of Jeff Beck, who died in January 2023. Starting Wednesday, the public can view 90 guitars from the collection until they are sold on Jan. 22. Beck was renowned for his unique sound and improvisational skill and was twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The collection is valued at more than 1 million pounds ($1.2 million) and includes an oxblood 1954 Gibson Les Paul that Beck bought in Memphis in 1972 and played for the rest of the decade.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Weaker winds and intense firefighting efforts over the weekend boosted containment of fires burning in and around Los Angeles, but the effects of the blazes on the entertainment world continue. Several projects and awards shows have been delayed, with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, announcing Sunday she would not launch a Netflix lifestyles program until March. Entertainment organizations continue to donate to fire relief, with the Screen Actors Guild pledging $1 million to help its members affected by the blazes. Thousands of homes have been destroyed, and 24 people have died as a result of the fires. More are reported missing and officials expect that number to increase.
