Quinnen Williams is not directly involved in the search for a new head coach for his team.
He's still made his feelings known.
The New York Jets search for their next head coach rolls on. Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is not just a candidate for the job, but the former Jets player is amongst the favorites for it.
If Williams had his way, Glenn would be selected for the position.
The team announced Glenn's interview last week via social media. After noticing it, Williams commented a clear message of his desires: Two emojis indicating that his "fingers are crossed," re: the Jets hiring Glenn.
Glenn, 52, has spent 11 years as a coach in the NFL including his past four in Detroit as DC.
In 2024, the Lions defense allowed only 20.1 points per game, despite a slew of injuries, which was the seventh-best total in the NFL.
