Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of highly rated centre-back Yasin Özcan from Turkish outfit Kasımpaşa.

The 18-year-old has signed a contract until 2030 at Villa Park, but is returning to Kasimpasa for the rest of the season having been a mainstay in their defence so far this campaign.

It is understood that Villa have paid €7 million+ €1m in add-ons (£6.7m total) to land the defender.

A left-footed centre back, Özcan joins Tyrone Mings and Pau Torres as options on that side of defence for Unai Emery going into next season.
