Yntegra Group And Rosewood Hotels To Open Property In The Exumas

Rosewood Hotels has teamed up with esteemed Miami-based real estate developers Yntegra Group to expand their presence in the Caribbean and bring a new luxury resort to The Exumas.

Projected to open in 2028, Rosewood Exuma will be situated on East Hampton Cay, a lush 124-acre private island and is set to have significant socioeconomical impact on the community by providing 500 jobs for Bahamians, along with a 150-unit employee housing facility.

"Our vision is to make Exuma not just a place to visit, but a destination for life," explained Felipe MacLean, President and CEO of Yntegra Group. "By investing in the local community, creating meaningful economic opportunities, and prioritizing sustainability, we are ensuring a legacy that both uplifts the region and protects its natural wonders for generations to come,"

According to MacLean, the design at Rosewood Exuma will embrace a philosophy of "gentle design," where architecture and nature exist in perfect harmony. The team are focusing on blending structures seamlessly into the natural landscape, creating low-density, "invisible architecture" that honors Exuma's spirit.

"Open-air spaces, boundless views of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living define the design, while sustainability remains a cornerstone of the project -- incorporating natural materials and minimal environmental disruption," MacLean continued. "Rosewood Exuma represents a new standard for luxury development -- where design, environment, and experience come together to offer an unmatched sense of place."

Health and wellness will play a huge part in Rosewood Exuma, with a 20,000 square foot wellness sanctuary offering boast six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, outdoor tranquil pool and fitness center, along with many outdoor sports and activities. The six dining options will feature menus made inspired by the fresh produce grown in the resort's gardens.

To make the island more accessible to visitors. two marinas with slips are planned to accommodate yachts up to 150 feet.

Both companies have a shared commitment to positive impact on the environment, with sustainable building practices being top priority throughout the building process. Only 25% of the islands 124-acres will be developed, and solar powered energy sources will be implemented throughout the property.
